Please post this on Dr. Soroush’s Website I am a fan of Dr. Soroush and I am writing this email to warn Dr. Soroush’s viewers on a miss-leading text floating around. I have read it; it looks like a paid article from a cheep junk writer. This rubbish is probably cooked by a certain Gary Legenhausen (an American convert) in Mesbah Yazdi Administration. The title is “The Expansion and Contraction of Abdolkarim Soroush“. They have sent it to different places under different names. The one I read did not have the name of its writer, others say they got the same email with Gary’s name on it. I only could guess, I am not sure who they are, but they are spreading lies and junk about Dr. Soroush. I am a very open minded person and I respect our scholars, from very religious to very liberal, from closed minded to democrats. I have read some of Dr. Soroush’s work and I place him among the highest thinkers of our time. Criticism is healthy and I always welcome criticism on my work or other scholars too. But this is not criticism; instead it is an insult on a scholar. It sounded like a criticism at the beginning, and that is why I read it, but unfortunately by the time I finished reading it, I was very angry at the lies packed in this text. But it didn’t have a writer’s name, so I can only guess where it came from. I wish I could find the writer, I had some questions from him.
